Peter Y. Qiu, Esq.
A life-long student of American histories and cultures, having worked in both private and public sectors of the American societies and well-versed with American way of thinking, being and behaving, Mr. Qiu has been concentrating his law practice on business litigation involving shareholders or partnership disputes, franchising or business disputes, corporate managements or mismanagements, financial transactions, breach of contracts and/or leases, commercial collections, equity or debt and other monetary or commercial conflicts as well as estate planning. Where appropriate, Mr. Qiu has also successfully liberated his corporate clients from a burden of millions of dollars of debts by bankrupting them in the United States Bankruptcy Courts.
Representing small businesses and entrepreneurs from all over the United States, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other jurisdictions, Mr. Qiu has committed a tremendous amount of his energies, knowhows, and practices into international business transactions ranging from purchase of stocks and assets, including trademarks and other intellectual properties, to the establishment of brand-new entities in the U.S. for his international clients and successfully assisted many foreign investors with their application for immigration via employment-based channels,including EB-5 programs, E1/E2 visa, L1 visa, etc.
In litigation, Mr. Qiu has always been vigorously protecting his clients' interests, not only actively pursuing discovery and strongly engaging in all relevant motion practices, but also making his powerful arguments in superb, eloquent, and impeccable English, whether to a jury or judge. In practices other than litigation, Mr. Qiu also analyzes all issues from his clients' perspectives and delivers his legal issues, principles, and analysis with logic, accuracy and clarity in both English and Chinese. As a result, a vast majority of his clients have effectively achieved their goals and expectations by following his directions in risk management, business transactions, settlement of disputes, conclusion of litigation and other professional demands.
